New in paperback, landscape and architectural designer Made Wijaya draws on his photographic archives, compiled over thirty years, to present a visual study of Balinese architecture. A survey of traditional Balinese style is enhanced by examples of its adaptation in modern private houses and boutique hotel architecture, including the celebrated Amandari, Four Seasons Bali at Jimbaran, and Wijayas studio-compound Villa Bebek. As well as Wijayas own archive photographs, the book is illustrated with the work of internationally acclaimed specialist photographers Tim Street-Porter, Luca Invernizzi Tettoni, Guide Alberto Rossi and Rio Helmi, plus drawings by Chang Huai-Yan, Deni Chung and Bruce Granquist.
