Summary: This well-known 2-volume textbook provides senior undergraduate and postgraduate engineers, scientists and applied mathematicians with the specific techniques, and the framework to develop skills in using the techniques in the various branches of computational fluid dynamics. In Volume 2 specific techniques are described for inviscid, compressible, boundary layer and separating flow. Grid generation and the use of generalized coordinates for complex geometric domains are dealt with in detail. The most modern methods (including many computer programs) are described in connection with real problems in the field of fluid dynamics. For the the second edition the author also compiled a separately available manual of solutions to the many exercises to be found in the main text.
