KOHA training for Library Professionals at CUI

Due to switch from Insigina to KOHA software, a training on KOHA (Integrated library software) was held in COMSATS Univerity, Lahore Campus on September 25, 2023. Mr. Muhammad Ismail, Senior Library Officer LRC-UMT was the resource person of this training.

The objective of the training session was to provide the knowledge and skills to the attendees, required to effectively manage library operations through efficient use of Koha LMS. The training session was attended by all the library professional from CUI Lahore as well as the professionals belongs to other CUI campuses also joined this traing session through team link.

The resouce person introdue the basic working of all the modules available in KOHA. The hands on pracitce was the imporant feature of the trainign session. Participants found the training session very informative, interactive and helpful. At the end, the library incharge Dr. Muhammmad Tariq presented the shield to the presenter.

Libraries are kept on high priority, which is normally referred to as research libraries, and is used by students as a calm place for their learning and research. Greater part of clients uses academic libraries as a place for study by using their own academic materials.
